A Healthy Fun Family Event - Mount Shasta, California

The two-mile youth race is designed for the younger generation who wish to race less than the longer five miles. This is a great opportunity to introduce children to running and to promote physical fitness to our youth!

This is the most popular event of the morning. Have you ever strolled two miles while gaining weight and listening to over three dozen talented performers?

Almost 1,000 athletes race together over a fast and flat 3,600 foot elevation course with snow-capped Mount Shasta in the background.

Mountain Runners are always looking for new volunteers with fresh ideas. Volunteers can spend a few hours, or a few weeks working on projects to prepare for the race or on race day. From registration to setup to breakdown, there are always opportunities for people who want to help.
