Prize Raffle Drawing: Your entry in the Mt. Shasta
July 4th Foot Event automatically enters your name into the drawing for the
grand prize. Click

Other Prize Drawings: All registered participants will be eligible for a variety of
wonderful prizes donated by local merchants, worth over $5,000.
Prizes include: a Satellite System from John's Satellite, a gift certificate
from Village Books,
a TV from Ron's Furniture, a snowboard from the Sportsmen's Den,
a framed, color photograph of Mt. Shasta by Kevin Lahey Photography, and 2 Season Ski Passes at
Mt. Shasta Ski Park.
Also available will be artwork, photographs, and a pendant of the mountain. The drawing takes place immediately after the event, between 10-11 am, while the racing
awards are announced. You must be present to win!
Entertainment: Over four dozen talented performers along the walk route - a virtual
parade in reverse. Church choirs, belly dancers, gymnasts on the ground and
surprises in the sky, classical instruments and country bands, family
singers, and traveling balloon artists are just some of the bizarre and
sublime acts awaiting your stroll by.
Food Sampling: Along the walk route, enjoy the treats provided by local restaurants.

Refreshments: Mt.
Shasta Trail Association continues its tradition of hosting a fresh fruit buffet during
the event. You are invited to sample the fresh fruit from out own local General Produce
Company. For the sixth year, liquid refreshments will be provided by Dannon Natural Spring Water.
Mount Shasta Recycles
- Again for this years' Fourth of July Celebrations - learn what to do with
your recycling this year. Make sure to put your empty water bottles; empty
glass bottles and empty aluminum cans in a clearly marked large blue
recycling container. Visit the Recycle Center at the corner of Castle and
Chestnut streets. Mount Shasta Recycles is a collaborative partnership
between Shasta Energy Group, Siskiyou Opportunity Center, Mount Shasta
Chamber, Mountain Runners, Mount Shasta City, Mount Shasta Elementary,
Sisson School, Mount Shasta High School, CCDA Waters, LLC, Custom Designs
and Pepsi Mt. Shasta.

Safety Notes: Our
insurance carrier does not allow wheeled devices of any kind in either race (except
wheelchairs). In-line skates, skate boards, bicycles, headsets, and all animals
are not permitted in any event (except seeing eye dogs). Baby joggers and
strollers are permitted in the Fun Walk Only. |
